Dear Terry,
It would seem that you really have your hands full with some unwanted feelings! I have done some research on the subject of Pacha Mama due to my desire to reconnect with my inner "elf" as I like to say.
I also have been under a lot of stress, which makes for a very undesirable condition. It looks like Pacha Mama is designed to help people who want to unburden their lives and get back in touch with nature. They offer an alternative lifestyle that looks like it depends on a lot of silence.
I am considering going as well, but it is a big decision, as I don't like to travel alone. I did travel to Costa Rica last year, which was my first excursion outside the United States. I found everyone to be generally helpful and the lack of my Spanish speaking was really not a problem.
My concern for you would be not the travel, since people generally are good hearted and help those of us who are seemingly lost in airports or whatever, but the actual time you spend there. It doesn't really sound as if you are very comfortable in your own skin and all of that silence may be a big obstacle for you.
Although I do not know you, I would perhaps seek a friend to go along, or just really really be prepared to experience the Pacha Mama as they describe it on the website. Do try and schedule well ahead, and I am sure they will go to lengths to make sure you arrive safely and begin your experience.
They do seem to be very in tune to the needs of their visitors. Good luck and best wishes to you on your journey!
