When did you start your website and why?

My website site was started in June of 2000. I started it to help buyer and sellers with their properties in Costa Rica.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My website is mainly focused on selling properties of all kind in Costa Rica. Properties include but not limited to land, homes, hotels, and businesses.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most difficult part was keeping it updated which is no longer a problem.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The easiest part is handling all various requests from visitors.

What was your biggest mistake?

Underestimating the impact of the net.

Who maintains your website and why?

I have a company who maintains it because they know what they are doing.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

It has benefited greatly since almost all of my business comes from my website.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Without the internet, I wouldn't have had the success I have had so far in my business.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Most people who come to my website are from Search Engines so I appreciate them very much.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

They have helped my site immensely.

Search engine optimisation

Nothing so far.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

I like to see better search engines like Google.

When did you start your website and why?

I started my web about 2 years ago. I am a real estate agent since 11 years. Before be on line was not so necessarily as these times. I am very happy about is.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Real Estate is my very first job. From 11 years ago. After spending some years in Europe, at those time notes how people were so use to agents services when Costa Rica was so new about it. Professionals at the top. I did enjoy using their services, did make my life so easy. When I came back at that time…decide to start working as a freelance agent. Was hard work to convince our people how important Real Estate services are. From explaining them all details about our work… Times change and now our country is very cosmopolitan with a height demand on Real Estate Services.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most challenging part was to clear out what is the real propose for been on line. Beside the business was important to define the market target… About running I had a very bad experience in the beginning…wrong hosting management and relationship. Found out the hosting is a big paper roll.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Posting properties the most fun and easy…and do marketing by my self.

What was your biggest mistake?

Choosing the wrong hosting company and web developer.

Who maintains your website and why?

A private party. He does work to a large company as web programmer. I am very confidential about his assistance to my web function. Is hard for me to trust most companies

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

It does make me look more professional and updated to the out world. It does make me look more professional and updated to the out world. . I do have now a good investor's portfolio. Plus is simpler to promote my self. Having a Web is like having your own "closet" in Real Estate... everything in one place. And a face to the online market.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

I am not so clear about it, but more on like exposed. To focus on attracting a very exclusive investors market... more oriented to large scale developments...

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

I don’t know much about it at this point. But is my business does grow I have a feeling that I may need it for sure.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

Can not answer at this point.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Web directories. E mail marketing. MLS services. Links exchange. Free real estate classified. Pay add link to good marked webs.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

I don’t have that experience.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

That web marketing will be truth focus on their product or services. And stop competing each other on the internet top searching first 10 top. For example you are looking for specific information... type some key words... and do display many webs... not relative to your interests.
