What a wonderful way to spend time in Central Park

By Vicki at 09/19/07 11:35
Upon travelling to Alajuela, I wandered into Central Park one day while doing some shopping. I met this man, who was a local and he had set up a shoe shine stand there in Central Park.

He was very friendly and performed a wonderful service. He made my old leather comfortable shoes into shiny, new looking shoes.

Costa Rica Bed and Breakfast

By Sandy at 09/14/07 13:34
travel Costa Rica Bed and Breakfast
I stayed in a wonderufl bed and breakfast on my last trip to Costa Rica and they had a very special attraction.

Curious Georgette was a little white-faced capuchin monkey that hung around in the backyard at VidaTropical. she was the cutest little thing and was always entertaining us.

Unfortunately, I think Georgette was a little exuberant for some of the guests because the last I heard she was released in Cana Blanca Reserve in Golfo Dulce de Osa to be with other monkeys.

Anyone who stayed there while she was there will definitely say she will be sadly missed.

Is Costa Rica a good place for wealthy Americans to find love?

By Kelly at 09/13/07 14:49
I have heard that there is an abundance of nice folks in Costa Rica who would not be opposed to having an American boyfriend or girlfriend.

Is this generally true, or are the native Costa Ricans standoffish about that?

Land of the beautiful plant shopping, here I come

By Vicki at 09/12/07 14:01
This is the remainder of my story about shopping for the beautiful plants at the nursery in Costa Rica.

After I had walked around and picked out so many beautiful plants and saw them all sitting together, I suddenly realized that unlike going shopping in the United States, we had come by bus and how in the world was I going to transport all of these plants to the two locations?

Shopping in plant lover paradise, part one

By Vicki at 09/11/07 09:26
Costa Rica, real-estate:Best Property is Costa Rica 1: Alajuela House; Porch
I remember one of my favorite parts of going to Costa Rica. I was there half on vacation and half to visit my business partner who moved there. I love to shop and shop I did while I was there.

The greatest shopping moment for me was going to the nursery (as in for plants). There were plants and hordes of them...beautiful, lush, tropical plants. Now being from the United States, of course none of these beautiful things could be had where I lived in such splendor.

Who can give me a good rainforest vacation idea?

By Kelly at 09/10/07 09:49
I want to visit Costa Rica and travel to the rainforest. I have heard there are tours you can go on above the canopy.

Can anyone give me more information on who to call for a rainforest tour and what that involves?

Who wants to go on a great fishing vacation in Costa Rica

By Vicki at 09/06/07 09:11
I recently went on a fishing vacation to Lake Ontario in the US. I have been to Costa Rica on vacation, which was amazing, but I was wondering if there are some good places to charter a fishing boat and go fishing?

Having cottages or somewhere to stay that is a little different from a plain hotel would be great! Does anyone have any suggestions?
