A unique Hotel in the heart of Escazu.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Our opening of the Hotel and Tourist Center
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
It was for our Tourist center, we learned a lot of what not to do for the main hotel website.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Something that wasnt already out there, we new we were unique and wanted to keep with that. That is how we came up with Out Of Bounds.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
The layout, we have full descriptions,pictures as well as a floor plan of the rooms.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We would be intersted in expanding Out Of Bounds to the beach and volcano's. Would be intersted in having a partner to help make our dreams come true a bit faster:)
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I think we are doing extremely well for only being open for over a year and a half. Clients really like the value they are getting and keep coming back.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would add a pool/hottube and a zen area in the back. Then we would start Out of Bounds in the South area.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
You bet, that is why we picked the company that we are dealing with. He is reliable.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Parking, we had to dig out the parking lot and add a wheelchair ramp. That was an extra $15k that we would of liked to put the $ else where.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Being that we live on the property to ensure the best service is given, some times those early riser's can bug you for things that could of waited till after 7am.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Online advertisments and chat groups are the best for our business.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Pretty easy actually, happy with the page from the start so not much needs to be changed or updated.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
As long as the company is going, so lets hope forever. It has been up for almost a year.
Why would you visit Costa Rica
It is Paradise, the people, the culture the proximity of beaches, 2 different oceans, unlimted tropical forests the animals the weather and of course the life span is longer than North America. Come for a visit you wont forget.
