Probably Costa Rica's best asset is its environmental treasures, which have attracted millions of visitors in the past decades. It has large biodiversity,while not lacking in beaches, and natural parks. These natural parks are home to 850 species of birds, 205 species of mammals, 376 types of reptiles and amphibians, and more than 9000 species of flowering plants.
Despite the political turmoil that hit South America these past two decades, Costa Rica still proved that it is a stable nation with a wonderful environment.
