Sailing and scuba diving in Costa Rica

By Cat at 10/02/07 12:13
I know there are charters you can take out for fishing in Costa Rica, but are there also companies who will take you sailing?

How about scuba diving? What is the best place for that in Costa Rica. Is there a decompression chamber available in the area for diving accidents?

As to sailing I'm not sure...Thats a topic to be answered by the Flamingo - Tamarindo crowd.

Now scuba diving is another story.

A high dollar trip to Cocos island is well worth the time and money.

Custeau himself called it the most beautiful island on earth.

Its nearly 300 miles offshore.

For the shorter on time and wallet I recommend going out with the crew at La Paloma Lodge in Bahia Drake for an island dive. It's a spectacular area. Mike may know someone to take you sailing as well.

I imagine that the only d. chambers will be property of the US coast guard which has a strong presence here due to the Columbianos moving their coke to The Empyre.

I thank you for your superb advice. How can you argue with Jacques?
